Non-Stress Tests - Yeah Right!

So we went to Stevens Birthing Center last night for one of Keri's twice-weekly NST's (Non-Stress Test). The concept is to measure the baby's health in a non-invasive way. That part works great. The non-invasive part on the parents... not so much. We were there for two hours! Riley passed the test in under 5 minutes. She's an active little bugger. Just like her daddy. Can't sit still for 10 seconds. We're gonna be in for it when she arrives! Poor Keri had those gooey monitor things hooked up to her the whole time. You can see her "happy face" for the camera. Then her true feelings show through in the second picture. We'd both had enough. All because the Doc wanted to come and talk to her to tell her "everything is fine and we're going to let you go home." Gee thanks! This was supposed to take 20 minutes max. Riley did her part in like 30 seconds. We were both so hungry. I was ready to chew off my arm. Not that I'm malnourished or anything (hold the fat jokes). We got home, ate our Port of Subs (yum) and straight off to bed. We're such party animals!
