We're a lot late but here's a Valentine's Day picture from Riley in her outfit.

The Doctor Poked Me Again

Here's Riley after her four month checkup and most recent set of shots. She's doing great and she's in the 75th percentile for height and weight. She weighs 14 lbs 7 oz (she's quite a big lug these days). She had a mild reaction to the shots. She was a bit grumpy and a more fussy. Nothing a bit of Tylenol didn't take care of. Here's a picture of her with her bandaids on her boo boo's.

Riley got a Bumbo

Riley got a new Bumbo chair today. She can sit up all by herself! Here's a few pictures. She's getting so big!

Xmas, New Year, Snow, Rain and Floods

It's almost been a month since I last posted. Time flies. We've seen Christmas, New Year, snow storms, floods and Riley's three month birthday come and go since the last time I posted. Crazy. Our family hasn't really have much new news to report. Riley is growing like a weed and keeping us on our toes. We enjoyed the Holidays with family and friends. It doesn't seem like the Holidays are quite over for me yet as I haven't made it to Spokane to see my side of the family yet. Riley isn't quite up to a trip of that magnitude so I'm going to Spokane by myself this weekend to see my side of the family, exchange presents and represent Keri and Riley as best I can. I know I'm no substitute for Riley but I'll give it my best. We'll be making our first trip to Spokane with Riley in March go to her Cousin Rya's second birthday party. We can't wait! Well, enough for now. Enjoy the pictures. I'll add a couple here and add the rest to the album. Riley is quite a conversationalist now. I added a couple of pictures of Riley during a conversation while Daddy was at work :)

Winter in Everett

I just went outside and snapped a few pics. Thought I would share a little bit of my amateur photography.

The Doctor Poked Old Blue Eyes :(

It looks at this point like Riley's eyes are going to stay blue. I don't see any hint of green in them so I think she's going to be a blue eyed girl. Sinatra eat your heart out :)

Riley had her two month checkup today and she's as healthy as a horse. 11 lbs 13 oz and 23" long. She's gained a pound since she was weighed last about 3 weeks ago. I knew my arm was hurting more than usual carrying her around. It's only gonna get worse. She got her three shots and an oral today. She cried pretty hard when they forced down the oral but you should have seen the look on her face when they jammed that needle in her leg. It took it to a whole new level. She was crying, paused for a fraction of a second, her eyes went WIDE and the crying went to hysteria level. I felt so bad for her but I couldn't help but joke about it. My way of dealing with it I guess. Keri was just about in tears. Those needles were at least an inch long and they jammed them ALL the way into her little thigh. Poor bubba. She cried so hard she got those little white welts on her cheeks. Thankfully it only lasted a couple of minutes and she calmed down. Keri nursed her and she's been right as rain since. We're hoping she doesn't have any side effects or her little thighs hurt. She got one shot in one leg and two in the other. I snapped a couple of pictures when she got home with her band-aids on :)

Santa Baby

Wow, long time between posts again. Time flies when you're having fun. We had a great Thanksgiving in Sequim. We were able to get some much needed rest thanks to Grandma and Grandpa and Aunty Tanya. Thank you guys! It was great to see Ron, Paulette and Caitlin up for Grandma's (Phillis') Birthday. Too many grandma's to keep straight. Gary and Louise came up as well so it was an Avery family reunion. Thanksgiving dinner was delicious and of course I ate until I was ready to pop. Riley had a cute Turkey Day outfit. I'll try and get a couple of pictures in the blog.

Riley went to her first Christmas gatherings this weekend. We went to Gary's house on Saturday and Keri's Overlake OB-GYN party last night. Of course, Baby Ri-Ri was a huge hit in her little Miss Santa outfit. She was quite the social butterfly. It must have worn her out because she slept for 8.5 hours on Saturday night and 7.5 hours last night. Woo hoo! Here's a couple of pictures of the little one. We did a little photo shoot on Saturday but we didn't get the perfect shot. We're probably going to try again this weekend.
